Why we do it

Our program is specifically designed to create a brighter future for all of our families and for Central Texas in general. We aim to intervene and make a long-term change in the following statistics:

  • Students who don’t read proficiently by third grade are four times as likely to drop out of high school, if they also live in poverty, they are six times more likely, if they are also black or Latino, they are eight times more likely to drop out of high school.¹

  • The most significant predictor of a child’s future success in school is their mother’s literacy level.²

  • In Travis County, 49% of children under the age of 6 are low-income.³

  • In 2009, 57% of births to Hispanic mothers were to women with no high school diploma.³

  • In Travis County, only 19% of low-income children who did not attend pre-K, are ready to enter kindergarten.

PREPARING FOR REAL-WORLD READINESS

Todos Juntos provides students and families with a flexible learning environment that supports life changes and daily needs. This empowers students to advocate for themselves and their families in a way that is relevant in today’s society.

BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF GROWTH

Todos Juntos creates a network of parents, caregivers, students, and teachers to create a solid support system. Long-lasting relationships are established with students to actively support their needs.

PROVIDING STRUCTURE TO MEET GOALS

Todos Juntos promotes group learning by encouraging all students and teachers to contribute ideas, and provide active support for each other within a curriculum framework that focuses on digital literacy and critical thinking. This accelerates success in English-driven situations.
